The Books and Bands Bash Benefit! 

Hi! I am one of the teen volunteers at Moraga's Be The Star You Are! literacy charity and I want to personally invite you to our Books and Bands Bash Benefit on September 13th. This party will also be the launch of the new book Be The Star You Are! for Teens (I am included as a contributor) and also marks the charity's 10th anniversary.  Below are the details and I hope you can come! If you can't make it to the party, would you consider making a donation to the charity? Be The Star You Are! provides positive media to at-risk kids, women and families throughout the Bay Area. This organization has quietly served over 200,000 people and has never asked for financial support before. It's hard to ask people for donations - especially this year - but if you haven't committed your charitable dollars yet, I hope you'll consider this organization.  To serve a growing need, we are holding this benefit to get community support so we can continue our literacy program. We are excited to have Diablo Magazine as our print media sponsor and also KCBS and KPFA, Lamorinda Weekly Newspaper, World Talk Radio, Voice America, and Garden Pro Radio as sponsors. We expect 500 people at the event and hope you'll be there too!

Price: $13.00 in advance. Tickets are limited!

· Donate items or services to our mega Raffle 

· Become a corporate sponsor ($5,000-$25,000 and receive lots of benefits!!)

· Advertise in our Program - great opportunity to reach local customers ($200 for a full page, $125 for ½ page, $85 for ¼ page)

 · Pre-order tickets and books at a discount–$13 per ticket, $20 per book. Bought together only $27!

· Donate food and beverages  - please send an email!
