Every garden needs to have an area of shade. Most shade-loving plants are understory plants that grow under the forest or jungle canopy. Trees are the anchors of any shade garden. Goddess Gardener, Cynthia Brian suggests a list of groundcovers, shrubs, perennials, herbs, and annuals to create a restful shade garden.
