The antidote

Nihal Gill and Diya Hituvalli cohost a program about the intersection of science and fiction. They interview the delightful storyteller, physician, and author, Dr. Susan McCormick about her newest book, The Antidote. With her unique perspective as a doctor, mother and writer, McCormick combines her knowledge of medicine and her storytelling skills to craft a one-of-a-kind adventure about disease, darkness, and deception. She intersperses Easter eggs about scientific facts throughout her fictional writings for young readers. Nihal talks about how we use science daily and how science benefits humanity. Diya focuses on good and evil while discussing the difference between a psychopath and a sensitive person.

Science and fiction live on the same planet offering us superpowers. Trust the science. Enjoy the fiction.

Bio: Susan McCormick is a writer and doctor who lives in Seattle. She graduated from Smith College and George Washington University School of Medicine and served as a doctor for nine years in the U.S. Army before moving to the Pacific Northwest and civilian practice. In addition to “The Antidote,” she writes a cozy murder mystery series, “The Fog Ladies.” She also wrote “Granny Can’t Remember Me,” a lighthearted picture book about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. She is married with two boys, neither of whom have any special powers. She loves giant dogs and has had St. Bernards, an English Mastiff, Earl, and two Newfoundlands, Edward and Albert. None of them had any special powers, either, except the ability to shake drool onto the ceiling. Visit her at https://susanmccormickbooks.com.

This was a very interesting and enjoyable read that provided both clarity and inspiration. The way the author presented ideas in a simple and structured manner made it easy to connect with the message. As a CIPD student managing multiple assignments, I sometimes take breaks to read blogs like this. At times, many learners also search for CIPD Assignment Help when they need extra academic guidance. Posts like this help maintain motivation and encourage a positive approach toward studies.

I really enjoyed reading this article—it made me think differently about how science and fiction can intersect. The point about how speculative ideas in fiction can sometimes inspire real scientific research really stuck with me. I found myself reflecting on how some of the technologies we now take for granted might have first appeared in the imagination of a storyteller. It also made me curious about how writers balance scientific accuracy with creative freedom. Interestingly, while exploring this, I remembered using resources like New Assignment Help service in college to understand complex scientific concepts, which shows how bridging knowledge from different sources can deepen understanding. Overall, it was a thoughtful read that made me appreciate the subtle dialogue between imagination…

This was a very engaging and thoughtful post. I really liked how the author described simple everyday experiences with such clarity and honesty. It reminds readers that even ordinary moments can carry meaningful lessons when we take the time to reflect on them. As a student, I often enjoy reading blogs like this during study breaks because they offer a refreshing perspective. Sometimes while managing coursework and deadlines, students also explore resources related to Assignment Help UK to better understand complex topics. Posts like this inspire readers to stay curious and continue learning from both academic and personal experiences.
